I contacted Hornacott gundogs when looking for a new puppy to train.
I arrived after making an appointment where I was given plenty of time to sit watch and observe the puppies. Met the stud and spent time with the sire. On choosing my puppy Jed he was then scanned and microchip number confirmed. I called back the following day to make sure I was still happy where I spent several hours talking to the owner about all things gundogs.
I collected Jed the following week and have been inseparable since.I can whole Hartley recommend Hornacott gundogs For knowledge hard working high drive dogs nothing was too much trouble even giving training tips once Jed was 1-2 years old. I would get another if I was allowed

Can’t recommend Vicky at Hornacott Gundogs enough, not only did she give us our beautiful girl Nala, she has also been an amazing support system throughout. Her wealth of knowledge has been amazing to us. She truly is amazing. Thank you for all your continued help, will definitely see you again in the not too near future.

"Pippin turns one. She is fantastic. She is loving and affectionate but also extremely focused, driven and intelligent. We often comment that she would have made a great sniffer dog as she will do anything for a ball. Scout is a true birder! He has sprung several pheasants and a woodcock (a species we have never seen here in 17years). He is also very attentive to the sky and totally at home in the water. In fact, we can't keep either of them out of the stream near us. He is also very affectionate and 'soft' with his manner. They get on great together and spend ages playing together. Still extremely happy with them and they remain a credit to the breeding you do."

"The first thing I saw when I went to choose my puppy was how well and happy they were, as my pup grew she carried on being a happy lovely character, she was so easy to train, she loves her work, she will crash through any brambles, she loves to retrieve from water, nothing seems to phase her at all. The best way I can show how pleased I am with Vicky and her great dogs is I have just bought another pup from her, if this turns out half as good as the last I will be more than pleased."

A couple of years ago we were looking for our first gun dog puppy. Hornacutt gun dogs came highly recommended and we’d seen both other peoples’ dogs from them as well as seeing Danny and Victoria working their own dogs. So we decide to get our springer spaniel puppy, Maple from them. The whole experience of getting the puppy from them was great. Danny and Victoria clearly love their dogs and there is great care and thought put into their breeding. They are knowledgeable in both breeding and training respects with nothing being too much trouble for them when we had questions or asked for guidance or training tips. They genuinely want what is best for both dog and handler and will help you in any way they can to achieve the best you can in your partnership with your dog. As a result we have got a beautiful, characterful springer spaniel bitch who as well as being a lovely dog to have around at home, is also a superb working dog. The training we received from Danny for her (and us!) has enabled us to successfully take her on various shoots both beating and picking up and often when we’re out she gets noticed and complimented on making us very proud. When the time comes for us wanting another dog or requiring any training needs we will definitely not hesitate to go back to Hornacutt gundogs.
